586 Processor Board
The board's standard interfaces include a keyboard and mouse interface, four serial RS232C interfaces and a floppy disk port. The board also has an IDE hard disk connection and a printer interface. Other technical highlights of the module are a disk-on-chip 2000 slot, a watchdog and EEPROM and IrDA support. The MSM586SV RAM can be expanded from 4 MB to a maximum of 128 MB of SDRAM with SODIMMs. The board only requires a 5V/900mA power supply. The module features a 24/36-bit TFT LCD interface (3V/5V) and 2 MB of video RAM. The board works within a temperature range of –25°C to +70°C and does not need active cooling.
The boards are available either as macro components or a stack-through version. This makes direct integration into application specific electronics possible and also eliminates cabling costs. The signal con-nections are robust and reliable. The PC/104 computers can also be custom-assembled to meet individual requirements. This includes providing different connector types, moving the I/O connector from the front to the back, specific settings, customer flat panel support and much more.
